There are many types of formwork strutting. Commonly, timber strutting can be seen. The below is the construction of base of drain and using timber strutting for the side formwork.
Another type of strut is steel strutting. See the picture below how steel strut work. Timber strutting can be nail easily. How about steel prop connection?
The end strut is propping to the ground with a U head strutting firmly to a horizontal timber.
The other end of connection is to fix to wall panel like below.
Technology changes. May be one day plastic will be used.
